Principal's Message

Dear JRW families,

Established in 1958, John R. Williams School is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year.  The school is named after the County Superintendent of Schools in San Joaquin County, John R. Williams, 1880-John R. Williams served in that position for 24 years.  Before becoming the county superintendent, he was a teacher at French Camp and Grant schools and principal at Lincoln & Jefferson and El Dorado Schools.  In the early 1900's, he helped organize music and library services, and one of the first PTA units in the county.

John R. Williams School educates students in grades preschool through sixth grade.  Each day we strive to provide excellence in education for all of our students.  It is one of nine elementary schools in the Lincoln Unified School District serving children from the North Western part of Stockton.

It is the collaboration of educators, students, and families, through which academic success is achieved.  We value your involvement with our school in every way.  John R. Williams School takes pride in serving an ethnic and socially diverse group of students and families.  It is here within these walls that our students learn to accept differences and understand how important it is in responding to our world.  Welcome.
